Job Hunting begins

So the task of hunting jobs begin. I have a reference to work in an actuarial firm in Florida but that's a long shot. I mean seriously, no working experience, no visa... long shot indeed.

Do I want to work? Hell no. I still wanna play and raid and enjoy my life. Do I need to work? Sadly, yes. Money makes the world go round sadly (no it's not love) and I can't depend on my parents all my life (not that they will allow if they have any say in it). Plus I need to get my new PC and buy stuff I want and save for my US trip and everything. And the experience is always good. Exposure might improve my chances of working in the US (yes, I'm still dreaming of it lol) and maybe land higher paid jobs to make my US trip sooner than in 2 years!

On a side note... it's so stupid at how hard it is to get a US visa. Can't get it without a valid reason, can't apply for most jobs without already having a visa, and the cycle goes on. It SUCKS! And when are people going to invent the teleporting device so I don't have to travel 18 hours just to get to another part of the world? Anyone wanna hire a WoW gold farmer? =P

Not true. When you do find love, you'll find your world spinning in a whole new direction.

Good luck on the job hunt. Florida is cool, except for the hurricanes...

  • Hahahaha, Florida is hot.....

Anyway, get the invitation letter from the company hiring you and use it to apply for visa :P

Then you can forget about saving for the US trip as it is covered.

  • US? their currency is going down the hill, I suggest you take a look at Europe.

  • She wants US not because of the currency, but because of the time zone.

Anyway, you can try Canada :P

  • If she wants the time zone for WoW, then Florida is not the place to be. She'll definitely want CA so she can stay up with with east coasters without actually staying up late. People get upset with me cause I log at midnight local and it's only 9PM over there. Losing a priest "early" in the night can be a group breaker. :(

  • Florida is a long shot. :( Doesn't mean I'm not gonna try.

And yeah I'm only wanting to go to US cos of the timezone like what camlok said :D

California would be my best choice cos I have relatives and lots of friends there and it's perfect for my raiding family! Working in Cali would probably be my ideal job now >:)

Tiiiiiimmmmmmmmmm get me a job pllleeeeeaaassssseeeeee......

  • Overlooking the obvious: So, the job hunting means you've finished your schooling and passed your last exams?

    GRATS!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 2:32 am

  • Finished? Yes.

    Passed? No.

Results are only out in February and regardless of whether I pass or fail I have to start working.

  • OK... so I knew it was two months difference. I was just testing you to see if you knew which way. ;-)

But, still, I always got my results back the next week at the latest, even in the psychology class of 340 students.

  • This is a professional accounting paper issued from the UK worldwide. All papers collected are mailed back to the UK where they will be marked. More than 10000 students sit for these exams each time ^_^ Even my results are checked through e-mail, my actual paper results comes in the snail mail about a month later.
